I've listened to a stereo that cost about the same as a nice house and I never once thought "you know what this is missing? Surround sound!" Stereo is fine and if the artist truly wishes to record something with a "3d effect." Then that's still doable with stereo. Also, I'd love to know precent of Apple Music songs are either recorded for atmos or were remastered for atmos. I'd wager it's a small amount. I'd also imagine a lot of them just have a dsp applied to them to give the "spatial effect."

@badxstudio The TIE fighter you guys download and the one you use seem to be different. The one in the link is 42mb, yet the one you use is only 9.4mb. The names don't seem to match either. The 42mb comes with more files and sometimes breaks the floor texture.

Love your tutorial series so far! I have one problem though; placing and settings the area lights just like you do in the end of this video gives me very different results. I noticed thay my lights had different source width and hight by default when bringing them in so I changed them but is still looks vastly different. I get way less light coverage, especially the ceiling stays very dark and unevenly lit. I assume something about the area lights has changed in Unreal 5.4? Would be lovely to get some help :)

Enabling HDRI Backdrop Before you can use this Asset, you need to enable the HDRI Backdrop Plugin for your Project. Open you Project in the Unreal Editor. From the main menu, select Edit > Plugins . Under the Rendering category, locate the HDRI Backdrop Plugin and check its Enabled box.

I am shocked you guys aren't bigger than you already are... this is such an engaging and easy to follow course so far compared to the other UE educational content i've come across. This is the first video i've been a little intimidated by just because there's a lot of new terminology and I think my brain wants to understand the inner workings of the blueprint stuff more than it needs to right now. I am following along with the steps though, and I'm sure as i use the software more i'll get a deeper understanding. Again, thank you for this! Fingers crossed you guys make more unreal tutorials in the future :D

nice, i always love working with ue5 modelings tools, i only have a basic blender exp. I think in 5.4 there is already a bevel options to increase the subdivision to make it more smoother. Also I hope you can tackle on the remesh-simplify options (ue standard, oem, etc), normals/tangents, especially when trying to reduce polygons of certain mesh like a wall was made via cubegrid but you did boolean operation or made a hole using cubegrid, it makes extra geometry to i simplify the mesh, at times the settings are good, sometimes some shading problems occur. Also hows the mirror stuff in unreal engine, i was thinking of mirroring that mesh should that you will only need to edit like extrude it on one side and have it mirrored hehe thanks

Hey guys! What an amazing tutorial you've made. I haven't seen such good, fun and easy to watch material for a long time! I have a one question. Why multiplying RGB values increase intensity of a light? Shouldn't it just change the color? Even if we hit the upper limit, it just should make our emmit light color just white? This is the only part i don't get. Could you please explain? Thank you!
